Kids can entrepreneur too!

  Hey! We're back again! Everything that has a beginning surely has an end! We had a beautiful autumn term with clubs running in a couple of schools. We had a fine line up of exciting businesses this term ranging from SY Ice Donuts, Charlie's Lemonade, Simi's Art and Crafts, Meerab's Face painting, BK Candy and Luke's Cakes and Shakes amongst others. They also took time to design their posters for their stands. Above all, they made some good money buying and selling to each other including their teachers! Give your eyes some pleasure viewing what these kids have done... Then view their very fabulous stands....   "Every journey is simultaneously a beginning and an ending..." -  Debi Tolbert Duggar And it's a wrap! Our 5-day Kidpreneur Klub summer session was filled with lots of learning, fun and pitches too!😀 Here's a snapshot of what went up... The class started with teaching the 30 kids enrolled for the programme about the mindset of an entrepreneur using our award-winning acronym - E.N.T.R.E.P.R.E.N.E.U.R. That doubled as our skills-building class. We moved on to helping them find their great/fun business ideas using assessment sheets. They also had to design their marketing materials in our creative design class where the kids were exposed to various methods to promote their business ideas. And guess what?   After a few weeks of announcing our first Enterprising Easter workshop tagged ‘Creativity Unleashed’ , we had 51 children sign up from Nigeria and the United Kingdom. It was simply one hour of having our kids off the screens and in a more engaging manner. Amongst other activities, the kids learnt that they could be creative if they: Form the habit of moving. Open up to new experiences. Create space & time to think. Use the right language. Surround themselves with people who inspire them. They got to watch 2 videos of 2 inspiring people who started their businesses which led them both to meet with the former first lady of the United States of America – Michelle Obama! Because we believe kids learn more by doing, they had to work on a drink recipe.
